Hi Mateusz, thanks for the great question!

I think it would be better for library authors. We need to wait a while to use only standalone components and maybe one day, library authors will remove all of the modules as well as we too.

Angular Material team converted all of the demo components to standalone ones and imported the required Angular Material modules into them. We will see standalone examples when the documentation is updated. That should be a great clue for us.

Besides that, we are planning to update all of the components which has a Storybook integration to standalone. Thanks to that, we will only update the component files and get rid of modules of them. Nevertheless, it's too early to think about.

Let's see. :)
